I do sometimes wonder about things, worrying how they'll turn out.
Ultimately, it's nothing to worry myself about; thing have a habit of
working out in the end.

The end result of play doesn't matter. That means however you feel about said play doesn't matter. What matters is the simple act of doing, of making, of continuing to build. All you'll make, whether personal or professional, will decay anyway. For at least half the time, allow yourself to destroy that work. It doesn't matter what others think, whether they particularly like the work or not, what matters most is the act of getting comfortable making your work.November 10, 2023
Something I've been attentive to as of late is how my perspectives seem to try and lean negative. Instead of being optimistic in my abilities, I pessimistically get inside my head and fret.November 3, 2023
Fundamentals are key. They are what allow you to do anything within not just a given field, but your own life as well.November 5, 2023
- It's about the process and enjoying the journey
- It's never that deep; keep things in perspective
- We all have our own limits as to what is too much
However you feel about the final product isn't important. However others
feel about the final product isn't important. The mere act of simply
doing something is what's important. Throw away those expectations your
mind has for this field, they are blinding you from the act of making.
Instant reactions to things that bother me. How do I pause my mind
before reacting? A desire to be less impulsive. Just because you impose
an idea on me doesn't mean I am that idea.
What happens once the clock hits the ground Does it ever hit the ground?
To approach from another angle, why doesn't the person move so the the clock doesn't crush them?

When you're writing, be sure to reference the works that inspire you.
Note that I don't mean direct references, although those can be worth
throwing in as an easter egg. I'm instead talking about being mindful of
a work's strengths and weaknesses. For any story you're inspired by,
think about what you like, what you don't like, what resonated with you,
what didn't. Being aware of how writers that have come before you
approached their stories is an immense help when you aim to create your
own.
